just up the pike wants to know . . .

What would you like to see from Just Up The Pike? Currently I'm doing a mix of anti-NIMBY rants, anecdotes about East County, and the occasional political review. Is that working? What could I do differently? As a blogger of some stature, I'd like to think I'm doing my community a service, and I want to do as good a job as possible.

And if you're wondering if this is because comment counts have been a little low this week . . . you just about hit the nail on the head. =)

RE: Well if you don't like PG County and Economic/Business Growth potentials in Maryland then nobody is forcing you to come to this Blog.

My point was simply that "the Pike" referenced in this blog's title doesn't actually go into PG County. I prefer to read about MoCo.

He asked for suggestions- don't get all snippy.

And I thought that you were just too busy with school to update your blog, Dan.

I think this blog is great---Its a badly needed voice and I'd like to see it as a home for intelligent discussion about County issues. People don't always post comments. And traffic may decline in the aftermath of the election. Its about quality, not quantity! Maybe solicit more guest posts?

Hey, I'm into your blog. I would like to see more about what's going on in daily life in Silver Spring/East Montgomery County. I know Silver Spring, Singular, and the Silver Spring Scene do some of that, but I suspect you'd have a slightly different take that would be worth reading about.

How about some pro-NIMBY material? Doesn't the status quo have some value? Or is only change good?
