. . . put a sign defaming your ex-love on top of your car and drive around for all to see and judge him/her accordingly. This sign, spotted waiting at the light at Flower Avenue and Piney Branch Road, reads "STEPHANIE DORAN APPROPRIATES OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY & DESTROYS OTHER PEOPLE'S BELONGINGS." The fellow inside looked happy as a clam because, indeed, revenge is best served on four wheels.

LOL - BTW see today's Examiner for great story on Councilnot using transit - http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/local/Montgomery-council-members-eschew-public-transit-for-own-cars-8516807.html
I can personally appreciate how hard it is for councilmembers to take transit, but it's worth noting that most of them don't live near Metro and bus service to Rockville is pretty miserable, meaning that the free Ride-On passes County workers get are ill-used.
I know Councilmember Ervin would occasionally take the Q2 to work, but I think that was more of a shaking-hands-and-kissing-babies thing than a means of commuting.
Do I take transit to work now? I'd have to drive (or walk) a mile to the Tech Road park-and-ride, catch the #10 Ride-On (which is free for me) to Twinbrook, and take the Metro to Rockville. Or I can drive and pass the #10 on Randolph Road every morning.
As rough as my old commute to Bethesda was (after all, it's the reason I started this blog), I kinda miss it now.
Only 15% of county residents regularly use transit according to the Examiner story. It appears, then, that the county is misdirecting its transportation resources and needs to put more money into roads and less into transit. After all the vast majority of residents aren't using transit. Why not direct the money on facilities and services most people will actually use?
[Let the flame wars begin!]
Robert,
I don't get your logic at all. The roads are congested because they primarily build communities designed around roads. If we build more roads it'll only encourage the kind of development that got us here in the first place. That's like saying lets feed more candy to kids because it seems that's what they like to eat!
